Put Down the Magnifying Glass

It’s important to not look at life through a magnifying glass. We can become so consumed with what’s happening to us that we lose the bigger picture. The most important piece of wisdom I can give anyone in any particular situation is to find perspective. Put down the manipulative lens, lift your head up, and take it all in. Don’t hyperfocus on the trial you’re going through, and don’t worry about things that you can’t control. Think on what you can control. Rest your faith in God and realize that whatever situation you’re going through is miniscule compared to the scope of life.

“Don’t worry about anything, instead; pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” (Philippians 4:6)

There is so much beauty all around us and most of the time we don’t even realize it. You are blessed to be here, or wherever you are reading this from and it takes wisdom to know that is enough. Find peace in every situation. Take note of everything you are grateful for in your life in this moment, even down to simply being alive, and worrying about your current situation will seem meaningless in comparison.
